JUNIOR ACADEMY (U8)
The mission of the U8 Junior Academy is to provide players with the opportunity to flourish in a competitive environment in which skill development is the key determinant of success. At the Junior Academy, quality and long-term benefits are more important than short-term gain. Junior Academy is designed for the passionate, excited U8 player who desires to be challenged in every aspect of their game. Junior Academy is a natural progression from the U7 Kickstart Academy; through this graduated curriculum the players involved will be provided the tools to continue to take their game to the next level. Junior Academy will offer a basic introduction to passing, receiving, ball striking, ball control, dribbling, and heading; as well as a continued effort to expand each player's own coordination, balance and body movements as well as confidence. The FCSC coaching staff has combined their experience and knowledge to create a curriculum which will both challenge and excite each Academy participant. Each registered academy player will receive a training top to be worn to all sessions.
