Tryout, Evaluation and Birth Year Training Dates!

Arsenal Colorado competitive and PDL tryouts and evaluations will be held throughout the month of May. Any player interested in participating in our competitive or PDL leagues next season will need a numbered shirt for the entire evaluation process. Sign up for all age groups (2000-2010) is available at the Arsenal Colorado office. PDL shirts can be purchased starting April 3 and competitive shirts can be purchased starting April 17.

The basis of tryouts is to identify and group players of like ability. The process is not perfect as players grow, develop and mature at different rates, but our procedure takes this into consideration by supporting multiple teams at each age group. Typically, tryouts can be a stressful period for players and families. In attempt to combat this, the club begins its player identification process early and does not discount a player’s history within the Arsenal Colorado program. Players are evaluated on their technical abilities, tactical capabilities, psychological traits and overall physical attributes.
Development academy open trials - May 21
Arsenal Colorado will be hosting Open Trials for any player interested in competing in the Development Academy program. Players should show up in their numbered tryout shirt for the DA Open Trials. All players, both current Arsenal Colorado players and players from outside the club, born in 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005 are invited to attend. Staff will invite selected players to the Invitational Trials on May 22.
