The FCSC provides referee clinics for anyone interested in pursuing referee opportunities. Clinics are held in January and August for USSF Certification and Club Officials Clinics are held prior to the beginning of the spring and fall recreational season for volunteer refs.

Grade 9 Clinic
This course is intended to introduce new referees to the game with minimum training and costs while gaining experience. The minimum recommended age to become a Grade 9 Referee is eleven years old at the time of registration. The clinic consists of 9 hours of classroom instruction spread over two days. At the end of the clinic you must pass a 50 question test with a score of 76% or higher. Your registration is good for one year and must be renewed annually. Certification will qualify you for officiating and PAYMENT for services with the FORT COLLINS SOCCER CLUB and all USSF affiliated organizations.
Grade 9 to 8 Bridge
We encourage Grade 9 referees with one-year experience and those who are 14 years of age or older to attend this clinic for upgrade to Grade 8. The Grade 8 will allow you more flexibility in the games that you do, but does not require that you accept games for which you do not feel comfortable. The clinic consists of 9 hours of classroom instruction spread over two days. At the end of the clinic you must pass a 100 question test with a score of 75% or higher. Your registration is good for one year and must be renewed annually. Certification will qualify you for officiating and PAYMENT for services with the FORT COLLINS SOCCER CLUB and all USSF affiliated organizations.
Recertification
FCSC will no longer host Annual Recertification Clinics. Recertification of USSF Grade 9 and 8 officials is now handled online. The online recertification is open to Grade 9 and Grade 8 referees who were previously registered with the United States Soccer Federation and do not have a current badge. All Grade 7, State and Emeritus referees must register and attend either ARTS or Super Sat. You will receive further registration instructions at the clinics.
