HISTORY OF THE
FORT COLLINS SOCCER COMPLEX
THE PAST
In 1991, the Fort Collins Soccer Club began assessing the costs of developing a large field complex. By 1995, enough had been raised to purchase a 100-acre parcel just north of Fort Collins.
In 1997, approval was granted on a three phase construction plan. Phase 1, with 10 fields across 33 acres, opened in 2001. By 2005, Phase 2 was open and the size of the complex had doubled.
In 2010, the fields at the complex were dedicated to the MInatta Family, in recognition of their 25-years of service the Club.
The Present
The Complex is currently able to accommodate up to 22 fields, rotated between Phase 1 and Phase 2. The fields are home to hundreds of recreational, competitive, adult and tournament games every year. The Club is dedicated to maintaining the Complex's reputation as being home to the best fields in the state.
